STL FILE: Clipboard Earring Jig

This listing is for the STL file of the clipboard earring jig. Print this with a .2 nozzle.

These jigs were designed to make it easier to use clay earring blanks, keychain hardware, or any other fragile thing you are knotting onto, with a clipboard without damaging the item. The top has a groove that the clipboard clip easily slots into (make sure you are using a clipboard with a butterfly clip), and the felt on the bottom will protect the item while you knot, pulling at the strings. The pressure from the clip will keep the piece in place but won’t be enough pressure to dig into the item and leave lines.

These jigs have been tested and do prevent marks in pieces that would otherwise have been damaged by the clip.

This STL file is only for the 3D printed part, so you will have to glue on the felt separately. I used two layers.

This printable jig file is for personal use only, meaning that you can print this jig for yourself only (and use the jig to make knotted pieces to sell if you want) but you cannot sell the actual jigs you may print using this file, and you cannot resell the digital file.
